Laxmi Group has pledged to support the government in fighting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. It announced via a press release that the group has committed Rs 1 Crore to the government-established Coronavirus Prevention and Control Fund to assist in the fight against the global Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, Laxmi Group will provide financial support to set up 'Fever Clinic' in association with Health at Home Pvt. Ltd. at various government-run hospitals across the county.
Fever Clinics are set up specifically to test for coronavirus (COVID-19) and are made up of an initial health screen by registered health workers. Testing for novel coronavirus at these clinics will be available for people who are feeling unwell and have travelled overseas in the past 14 days or have had contact with a confirmed case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). People with their coronavirus concerns can also visit the clinic. Fever clinics help alleviate the workload of busy GPs and emergency departments and play an important role in potentially limiting the spread of disease among vulnerable populations.
